Thinking about thinking is how we think and what we think about as children or adults while learning. Piaget believed that the process of thinking (Cognitive Thinking), and the intellectual development could be regarded as an extension of the behavioral process of adaptation. Meaning what we learn from our environment has a direct effect on our behavior. Piaget called the early learning phase of development Accommodation and Assimilation. Cognitive development involves changes in the cognitive (thinking) - in other words how we use the information we have and adapt to our environment.
