The novel "Retribution" by Tatyana Uspenskaya (Oshanina) is a multi-layered work in which two main themes are intertwined: the protagonist's love for the girl and for each member of his family, and at the same time, hatred for his peer, "KGB officer", murderer and a scoundrel, to a system in which the triumph of violence and cruelty and the murder of innocent people are possible.
