Thirty years ago, the Three-Sided War consumed the world of Terradrac. Millions died and civilization was on the brink of collapse as the war continued on with no end in sight. A group of maji known as the Peacemakers placed a curse on all explosive bearing arms (guns, bombs, missiles and atomic weapons) rendering them useless. The war ended but as the years passed, humanity revamped and reinvented archaic weapons such as swords, spears and crossbows. This era of warfare became known as the Reign of Swords. Mardok and his eyemasters rule the nation of Azaria. Eyemasters can read people's thoughts by looking into their eyes. Many of them blend in with the populace acting as a thought police. Jinx is an enforcer to the eyemasters. She is an illusionist and an expert in non-lethal combat. Her feelings about her government are mixed, until she discovers her government's secret plans for world conquest. She teams up with a mysterious swordsman known as Dark Edge to stop Mardok from starting a terrible war.
