Stigmatization of women is a global challenge that has been found to be more prevalent in developing countries. The key to the abolishment of this stigma is in exposing, reporting and criticizing it. "Nwaminta" is a case study of the pain of womanhood in Edda, an Igbo tribe of Eastern Nigeria; a male chauvinist culture that harbors a low rate of reported cases of gender discrimination and violence. In this expos ; education is proven to be the strongest weapon in the fight against this societal ill. The use of drama and poetry adds value to this academic dissertation. The artistic illustrations, helps drive home the point that women in Edda where discriminated against by their men but has reason above that challenge and has set a new political, social and cultural trend that would inspire women all over the world.
